Our theme of the month is our Art Deco inspired wedding theme. We have chosen this as it is a great warm up to the Real Wedding that will be featuring really soon!
Art Deco weddings give you an amazing platform to be creative and stylish. It can link everything from your dress, to your cake, with a beautiful elegant theme. You may opt for the bold and gold statement designs or look at the softer tones of cream and gold. On our Pinterest boards we have shared some wonderful ideas, that helped inspire our Real Bride (and now my sister-in-law!) on her journey in planning the wedding. We have a great post on how to use Pinterest here.
So where to start? Lets go black and gold and go bold.
Here are our top 3 pins we have spotted that would go perfectly with this colour scheme and style of wedding invitation.

This sweets table is inspired. You can hire in these kind of things, but also source glass wear from charity shops and decorate with feathers. Also theme your cake and colours of deserts to tie in the theme.
#2 Pick a in 1920’s vogue Bridesmaid dress
This bold choice of Bridesmaid dress will help pull your theme together. If you feel that this might be too much, why don’t you go for the same style of dress but in one colour instead!

#1 This stunning bridal dress by Vicky Rowe
I love the Art Nouveau design with beautiful attention to detail. It really is a stunning dress.
#2 Think about the Venue
When getting married, you could think of going for a venue that really is symbolic of your theme. This does cut costs, by reducing the need to decorate and accessorise, if the venue itself IS Art Deco! This is Burgh Island Hotel in Devon.
#3 Cakes
We love this cake. Amazing detail and design and we bet it tasted fabulous! Great Gatsby Wedding Cake via Leslie Bruckman of Nom Nom Sweeties
